Independent Emotional Support &Information
for COSMETIC patients
including Independent Emotional Support Training for Practitioners
for all modalities at all levels.
I love two things: beauty and psychology. Just like you, I was once a cosmetic patient desperate to avoid 'patient advisors' interested in my cconsent for their commission. I wanted to share my experience with others and quickly discovered other patients want the same thing too. I do not advertise, sell or promote products. I work within an ethical framework.
I am pleased to offer training to individuals or institutions.

Cosmeticsupport was co-founded with Dr Art Anderson (PhD, CPsychol, AFBPsS, CSci) We share in interest in safe cosmetic procedures. We do not sell products or services and we do not make referrals to surgeons. We do not work on commission as many 'patient advisors' do. Our goal is to help you get the support and information you need to make a well-informed decision with realistic expectations. We want to help you avoid exploitation from patient advisors who are really marketing experts. The All Party Parliamentary Group (Be Real Campaign) invited me to the Palace of Westminster to give evidence and afterwards recommended our service on pages 45 and 53 of their report: http://www.berealcampaign.co.uk/assets/filemanager/documents/appg_body_image_final.pdf
Cosmetic Surgery Counselling service was set up to provide enhanced patient safety before and after a cosmetic surgery procedure. This service provides pre- and post-op patient support. Please ask your surgeon to provide this service to you if he is not already doing so. I have attached a letter here for you to print out and take with you when you go for your consultation. Bear in mind that not all psychologists or counsellors specialise in this field and therefore you will need to insist on being sent to the appropriate resource. We look forward to meeting you before and after your procedure.
